rottodog I stumbled across this band completely by accident when I was researching the origins of the expression "darn it all" and the weird little stick figure just caught my eye.

As soon as the guitar scratches in No Explanation burst into a falsetto sing along grunge groove, I was hooked.
These demos are filled with witty and memorable lyrics along with melodies that somehow randomly pop into my head first thing in the morning.
I really can't wait to see this band live. I SUPPORT THEM! Favorite track: No Explanation.

Drive 03:09
Drive We grew our hair, beards on our faces we looked like unenlightened sages We were jaded by the age of seventeen We went school and played guitar that didn't get us very far and now we're all burnt out and whining of our woes They said we're motivated but we're going nowhere we're overrated by the constructs of our minds They're irritated coz where doing something they're irritated coz they might get left behind It's time to grow up but we don't wanna School days are over but we're still pariahs and we forgot how to express what's inside of us but we're gonna make it, whatever that means our dreams our fuzzy but they're still our own we're gonna remember what it was like to have a choice Let's turn our perversions into subprime diversions and get back at all the boring haters They're irritated coz where doing something they're irritated coz they might get left behind I know that we we're both made for something different than our parents and you know I'm right, so why all the fights why all the procrastination? Let's just drive!

Mensa Test 03:02
Mensa Test Tell me what you're thinking scratch that never mind the last thing that you wanna hear is my paltry advice I'd be better off if I daydreamed while you talked All I'd need to do is gasp and nod on cue to you And I won't ever try and help you again coz you have told me it's a sin and I don't wanna make things harder on us anymore so where do I begin Every day with you is like a new Mensa test You're a puzzle wrapped in riddles in high heels and a dress you want what you don't want and it's driving me mad you're a riddle wrapped in enigmas my little Mensa... test me in the shallow end of your crises I am but a fallow field of dreams and I'm so vulnerable to famines of love I will starve just because send me someplace where everything you say makes sense at least enough Every day with you is like a new Mensa test You're a puzzle wrapped in riddles in high heels and a dress you want what you don't want and it's driving me mad you're a riddle wrapped in enigmas my little Mensa...

Comedy Is King I would rather be in a place of misery with you than all alone and pining over yesteryear do you remember when they detained us at immigration you we're holding my hand tight so tightly and when then let us go that little bitch gave us a dirty look but when we came back six months later they had fired her and I don't know why but it felt like such a victory for us I can't explain it but it felt like more than love We could have been another TV series making people laugh at our pain and maybe we could get a paycheck someday Comedy is King Corner the market on the self-ironic how hard could it really be We've got the stories we just need production Comedy is King I would rather live in a crab/crap shack in Belize than the lap of luxury and without you do you remember when we snuck across the border ate a taco in the park and watched the sun go down with stupid smiles on our faces speaking broken spanish we never party but we decided to have ourselves a beer I can't explain it but it felt like such a victory for us I've got a feeling that this might be more than love We could have been another TV series making people laugh at our pain and maybe we could get a paycheck someday Comedy is King Corner the market on the self-ironic how hard could it really be We've got the stories we just need production Comedy is King And every year there's more adventures making our lives sound absurd we never even wanted anyone to think that we were weird Don't ask me why, but I don't think that there is any going back I got a feeling that this might be more than love

Every Now and Then Every now and then I get a message from her "Hey when you gonna fly out here and pick up all your shit?" and every now and then I'll write her back explaining how my finances just won't allow it and she says she says I haven't changed at all says I'm still the same old leach that I have always been and no matter how hard I try or how many times I remind her of all my good deeds, she never seems to get it I guess she never did And every now and then she's in my dreams Don't ask me why because I never invited her and then she ends up dying in are car wreck or something and I wake up crying in a panic so I call her... just to make sure she's alright just to make sure I'm not a profit but then she goes on to tell me how everything in her life is so amazing and complete just aiming her words at my ego like a rifle and you might think that I'd regret having spent so many years trying to impress her but failing yet I don't, I don't even harbor any anger at least not anymore Every now and then I hope she'll say "I'm Sorry" coz God knows I said it so many times myself and every now and then I think we might be friends but my face keeps getting bluer everyday Still Every now and then she's in my dreams and every now and then I hope she's alright maybe even look back through our pictures and miss me a little just a little every now and then

Dissidents 03:01
Dissidents When I saw you in the audience hanging out with all your friends waiting for the opening band to play I knew you were a dissident you weren't even drinking when everybody else was busy getting pisst Take it from a veteran with too much experience when it comes to bitterness, I am king Take me where the skies are bluer We'll repose in a blossoming meadow forever I'll be your new inspiration, just so we can laugh and love again I knew there was something about you I couldn't pretend I remember everything like the first time underneath the underpass wishing time would never pass greener eyes had never cast their gaze on me You were my cinderella and I was your peasant fellow searching for a way out of this feudal/futile dating game Take me where the skies are bluer We'll repose in a blossoming meadow forever I'll be your new inspiration, just so we can laugh and love again

Without Pause Time is misleading teetering from slow to fast I'm running out of feelings connecting me to the past I wish you could experience all my old memories the good the bad the ugly oh so ugly if you knew me I will find a way to weasel my life in yours we will braid our minds together start from the core We're running out of excuses to circumvent our destiny we're running out of empty hands to carry all the weight of life lived without pause My senses tell me that you're holding back a lot I see you underselling your talents and intellect You call me a liar when I'm praising you but I love the good the bad and the ugly inside you I will find a way to restore your confidence reconfigure your misfortune, I am obsessed We're running out of excuses to circumvent our destiny we're running out of empty hands to carry all the weight of life lived without pause

about

This is a collection of 6 songs from our first demos. With your support we can polish these up, make some videos, finish the entire record and go on tour and perform in your town.

These songs just kind of erupted out of us all at once. We did our best to get the right feel production-wise on the demos to represent the overall mood of the lyrics and melodies. Also, we wanted to give an accurate representation of what we would sound like on stage. Obviously, recorded music and live music are two different art forms, but since we are using these to get gigs, and we are only a three-piece, we felt that keeping everything barebones was a good idea.

For those of you who support us we are really going to do our very best to show our appreciation and give more than you hoped for.

Please stop by our Patreon page to find some cool rewards and get involved in our production and touring first hand!
